A family story, a bet on Barbaresco, and a clear philosophy: great wines are born in the vineyard. Respecting natural balances is essential to best express the voice of the land and the soul of tradition.
Since the 1970s, our family has been producing wines in the Barbaresco production area. Craftsmanship, traditional methods, and respect for the land’s uniqueness inspire our work, today as in the past.
The history of our winery began in the late 1960s when, after completing his enology studies, Rino decided to start making wine. Enthusiasm, a good dose of courage, and a bit of luck led to the purchase of the farmhouse, which is now home to the winery, and some land in Cottà.
Starting with just a few days’ worth of vineyard work, over the years, with great perseverance and sacrifice, Rino and his wife Anna acquired new plots in some of Barbaresco’s crus, immediately choosing the path of single-varietal winemaking.
Today, Rino is joined by his children Andrea, Elena, and Claudia, who together passionately and devotedly manage the vineyard and the winery. The company boasts a high percentage of old vineyards, some planted by Rino in the 1970s and 1980s, others acquired during the same period but already productive for many years.
For over 40 years, special care has been given to our vineyards, with the utmost respect for the land and always within certified organic practices. The same attention is given to the work in the winery, aimed at enhancing the excellent quality of the grapes while minimizing enological interventions. The ultimate goal is to produce wines with an honest and territorial character, capable of expressing the best qualities of a terroir of absolute excellence.
