That of Cantina Pelassa is a story that began in the Roero territories in 1960.
Here Mario Pelassa, together with his wife Maria Teresa Viglione, founded the family business, passing on their knowledge then to the next generation. Today, Davide and Daniele have transformed it into a modern business, which has long been competing in the national and international markets.
“Having reached the hill of Superga, I met a big, big man with a stern but at the same time reassuring look; he asked me to pour him some wine, the new Nebbiolo. I still remember now his expression of amazement at how generous and elegant a wine could be! That man gave us hope for a less harsh future” Mario Pelassa.
That big man, won over by our Nebbiolo flavor, became the first customer from Turin, and this gave us the knowledge that our territory could give us a better future.
Since the 2000s Cantina Pelassa has been taken over by his sons, Davide and Daniele. Davide, a tractor driver by vocation, is in charge of getting the most beautiful grapes to the winery. Daniele, on the other hand, is the face of Pelassa Wine, the more commercial and communicative soul. Along with running a forward-looking winery.
